The RFID Journal Awards recognize companies that have distinguished themselves by their successful use of radio frequency identification (RFID) or Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, or the introduction of a valuable new RFID/IoT product or services. In this session the winners will be announced in the following categories: Best Retail RFID/IoT Implementation Awarded to the retailer demonstrating the best use of RFID technology to improve its store or supply chain operations. Finalists: • Ca' del Bosco Winery • Gerdau • Lockheed Martin -WinnerBest Health Care RFID ImplementationAwarded to the health care provider demonstrating the best use of RFID technology to cut costs or improve patient outcomes. Finalists: • Ankara City Hospital • Jewish General Hospital • Johnson & Johnson -WinnerRFID/IoT Implementation (Other Industry)Awarded to the organization demonstrating the best use of RFID technology to cut costs, improve efficiencies or otherwise improve the way it does business. The winner will be from an industry other than retail, manufacturing, health care or logistics. Finalists: • Centre for Railway Information Systems • The REME Charity • U.S. Patent and Trademark Office-Winner Best Use of RFID/IoT in a Product or ServiceAwarded to the end-user company using RFID technology to enhance an existing product or service. The winner will be the company that demonstrates how it is using RFID to provide additional value to its customers. Finalists: • CompX Security Products • SportCor-Winner• Stanley Black & Decker Best New ProductAwarded to the RFID technology hardware, software or service provider chosen by a team of judges at RFID Journal LIVE! as the best new product or service at the event. To qualify, the product or service must have been introduced after the last RFID Journal LIVE! concluded on April 5, 2019. It can be given to an end user, researcher, vendor, inventor, standards developer or anyone else who have contributed to the advancement of the entire RFID industry. 2020 recipient is: Dr. Tali FreedDr. Tali Freed, a professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering, for her years of leadership at the PolyGAIT-RFID Research and Development Laboratory.
